All religion, my friend, is simply evolved out of fraud, fear, greed, imagination, and poetry.
Without proof, your god is no different from an imaginary friend, wishful thinking, delusion or no god whatsoever.
My favorite bit of the bible is where the talking snake gets Eve to eat the magic apple and she suddenly becomes ashamed of her vagina and Adam hides and god can't find him! Very plausible, and certainly inspired me to take it seriously.
